Job summary

Infosys in Mexico City is seeking an L2 Application Support Engineer for SFTP & File Transfer Operations. Hybrid role coordinating batch processing, file transfers, and incident management to ensure secure, reliable file exchanges across platforms.

You will support operational readiness, automate monitoring, and improve runbooks while collaborating with vendors and IT teams. English communication required.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience supporting SFTP platforms.
• Strong experience with SFTP, FTPS, SSH and managed file transfer platforms.
• Experience with batch scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys, UC4 or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix command line and shell scripting.
• Experience with file encryption (PGP/GPG) and certificate management.
• Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA and ITIL operational processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, coordination and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inbound and outbound SFTP transfers across production environments.
• Validate transmission and receipt of business-critical files.
• Investigate failed, delayed, or incomplete file transfers.
• Coordinate recovery activities with internal teams and third-party partners.
• Maintain operational schedules for file exchange processes.
• Monitor batch job execution and completion status.
• Investigate batch failures and processing delays.
• Validate data reconciliation following batch completion.
• Coordinate restart or recovery activities when required.
• Maintain batch processing documentation.
• Perform L2 diagnosis for SFTP, batch, and file processing incidents.
• Participate in production incident bridges.
• Coordinate with vendors and infrastructure teams to restore services.
• Support RCA activities for recurring operational issues.
• Maintain Known Error Database entries and operational workarounds.
• Validate SFTP connectivity before production releases.
• Support post-implementation verification of batch and file transfers.
• Review operational readiness for scheduled maintenance activities.
• Update operational runbooks following configuration changes.
• Identify opportunities to automate file monitoring and operational checks.
• Improve alerting and monitoring for file transfer failures.
• Develop operational reporting for file processing performance.
• Maintain operational knowledge articles and recovery procedures.
