Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in automotive engine diagnostics and calibration (combustion systems).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and internal combustion principles.
• Proficient with engine dynamometers, emissions analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
• Experience with engine control software and calibration tools (ETAS, Vector CANape).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data.
• Spanish communication skills; able to work on-site and remotely in a hybrid setup.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analysis and testing of internal combustion engines focusing on fuel injection, ignition, and exhaust after-treatment.
• Conduct performance and emissions testing under various operating conditions.
• Calibrate engine control units (ECUs) to optimize combustion efficiency, power output, and fuel economy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to engine performance and emissions compliance.
• Develop and implement test plans for new engine components and technologies.
• Analyze test data and generate comprehensive reports with recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated on trends and regulations in automotive emissions and engine technology.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to implement combustion system improvements.
• Maintain and calibrate specialized engine testing equipment.
