Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an HR Employee Relations Lead for The Standard, Mexico City. You will guide employee relations, policy compliance, and labor matters across hotel operations, shaping a people-first culture with strong leadership collaboration.

The role emphasizes union engagement, talent development, and adherence to Mexican labor law while partnering with executives to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Formación

  • Hospitality or service industry experience.
  • Experience working with unionized employees.
  • Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements and labor union regulations.
  • Experience handling disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; ability to engage with all levels.

Responsabilidades

  • Oversee employee movements, contracts, personnel files and documentation.
  • Support payroll, benefits and employee programs.
  • Ensure HR policies are updated and followed.
  • Participate in succession planning and internal talent development.
  • Monitor employee satisfaction and organizational climate indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican labor law and corporate policies.
  • Manage disciplinary processes, investigations and workplace conflict resolution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employees and leaders across hotel departments.
  • Engage with union representatives and coordinate with HR Director and legal advisors on collective bargaining.

We're looking for an HR Employee Relations Lead to help bring the hotel to life behind the scenes. What You'll Do

  • · Oversee employee movements, contracts, personnel files, and employment documentation.
  • · Support processes related to payroll, benefits, and employee programs.
  • · Ensure HR policies and procedures are updated and consistently followed.
  • · Participate in succession planning and internal talent development initiatives.
  • · Monitor employee satisfaction and organizational climate indicators.
  • · Ensure compliance with Mexican labor law, internal regulations, and corporate policies.
  • · Manage disciplinary processes, internal investigations, and workplace conflict resolution.
  • · Build and maintain positive relationships with employees and operational leaders across all hotel departments.
  • · Maintain effective and professional relationships with union representatives, fostering an environment of respect, collaboration, and compliance with established agreements.
  • · Participate in collective bargaining processes, labor agreement reviews, and the management of union-related matters in coordination with the Human Resources Director and legal advisors.
Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in the hospitality, hotel, tourism, entertainment, or other service-driven industries.
  • Experience working with unionized employees.
  • Knowledge and application of Collective Bargaining Agreements and labor union regulations.
  • Experience managing disciplinary processes, terminations, employee separations, and labor law compliance.
  • Ability to partner with operational leaders to provide guidance and solutions on talent management matters.
  • Previous experience in lifestyle hotels, luxury hospitality, or international brands is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Abrhil or talent management platforms is preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to confidently engage with employees, leaders, and stakeholders at all levels.Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
