Belmond is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping department, uphold Leading Quality Assurance standards, and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction. This role manages room cleaning, public areas, and internal laundry, with strict adherence to safety protocols and brand policies.

Responsibilities include supervising room readiness, inspecting arrivals, and coordinating with other departments to optimize operations while controlling costs and maintaining service excellence

Job description

The Executive Housekeeper is primarily responsible for overseeing all operations within the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role manages room cleaning, public areas, and internal laundry services, while strictly enforcing LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) standards, safety protocols, and brand policies.

Key Responsibilities

Room & Public Area Inspection:

• Responsible for supervising the cleaning of assigned public areas and all hotel guest rooms.
• Inspects all arrival rooms for the day, providing final approval to ensure they are in optimal condition for occupancy.
• Reports anomalies in guest rooms and public areas to the corresponding departments.
• Checks and ensures strict control over electronic keys and keychains for each house assigned to staff.

Laundry & Operations Management:

• Organizes the smooth operation of the laundry department to provide a quality internal service, supporting F&B (Food and Beverage) and Spa areas.
• Supervises external laundry operations.
• Reviews the correct completion of printed forms and charges or transactions in the HMS system (primarily laundry).

Administrative & Financial Control:

• Follows up on emails.
• Submits warehouse requests to the purchasing department for missing supplies, amenities, and stationery via the Workday system.
• Controls room supply costs and expenses to stay within budget.
• Supports cost-saving initiatives wherever possible.

Safety & Quality Control:

• Supervises the proper application of cleaning products.
• Promotes and oversees safety regulations in the area.
