Job summary

Siemens Energy in Mexico's Querétaro region is seeking a Bid Manager within Grid Consulting. You will lead large-scale power system bids, coordinate technical and commercial proposals, and serve as the main client contact to ensure bid deliverables meet requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or power systems, 5+ years in bid management, experience with load flow, short circuit, and stability studies, and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering, or related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in bid management within the power systems or energy sector.
• Experience in power system studies: load flow, short circuit, dynamic and transient stability, harmonics analysis.
• Experience in writing and coordinating technical proposals and bids for power system projects.
• Willing to travel 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale power system consulting bids, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
• Coordinate and oversee the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, ensuring they meet client specifications and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining effective communication and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the bid lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including consulting, engineering, finance, and legal departments, to align bid objectives and strategies.
• Monitor and report on bid progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to enhance service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
