JAS Worldwide is a global supply chain provider seeking an Import Specialist to process ocean import shipments for customers with a focus on compliance and accuracy. You will handle customs entries, prepare documentation, and coordinate with ABI and vendors to ensure timely release and delivery.

The role requires solid knowledge of US customs procedures, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in imports or a combination of education and expertise.
• Experience with import entry procedures, compliance, rules and regulations preferred.
• Knowledge of First Port of Arrival (FPOA) entry processes preferred.
• FDA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Importer Security Filing (ISF) preferred.
• Knowledge of OGA transactions preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and track customer bookings/orders and send shipping instructions.
• Notify customer of arrival and charges; advise on delays and holds.
• Process Customs Entries and classify invoices; file RLF entries.
• Own the process for FDA related entries.
• Review documentation for accuracy (customs classification, IT number, commercial invoices).
• Transmit information to ABI and verify results; monitor customs release and related actions.
• Bill/Invoice files to customers and manage payment terms.
