Jobtailor is seeking an Ocean Freight Operations Specialist to coordinate international ocean shipments and maintain close contact with customers and overseas partners. You will manage documentation, invoicing, and status updates using CargoWise and internal systems, ensuring accuracy and timely communication.

The role requires 2+ years in ocean freight operations, strong English skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of Ocean Freight Operations experience.
• Experience handling ocean import and/or export shipments.
• Knowledge of international logistics and freight forwarding operations.
• Experience coordinating with shipping lines, customs brokers, warehouses, and overseas agents.
• Intermediate to advanced English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and manage international ocean import and export shipments.
• Provide excellent customer service by maintaining close communication with customers regarding the status of their shipments.
• Maintain frequent communication with overseas offices and international agents to ensure smooth shipment coordination.
• Request and monitor shipment status with shipping lines, warehouses, and logistics partners.
• Coordinate with customs brokers to support customs clearance processes.
• Review, process, and manage shipping documentation related to ocean freight operations.
• Update shipment milestones, including ETA, ETD, ATA, and ATD, within CargoWise.
• Prepare cost estimations and issue customer invoices through CargoWise.
• Process, upload, and approve supplier invoices using the corresponding internal systems.
• Follow up with suppliers to obtain pending invoices and supporting documentation.
• Perform required ocean freight transmissions through Validacarga.
• Maintain accurate shipment files and operational records.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements.
• Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, customs brokers, suppliers, and international partners.
• Identify operational issues and provide timely solutions to ensure service excellence.
