Job summary

Bosch México in Guadalajara, Jalisco is seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead to guide a ~15-person team developing vehicle communication gateway and connectivity modules. You will improve planning, tracking, and execution of software activities and align with counterparts in the United States in a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 remote).

You will establish solid engineering practices, drive modern development processes, and mentor engineers while collaborating with system, V&V,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of automotive software development experience.
• 5+ years coordinating/managing automotive projects.
• 2+ years leading a technical team.
• Experience with Automotive SPICE, V-model, MISRA.
• Experience with Git, JIRA, Synergy.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience with globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software engineering team by hiring, evaluating performance, supporting development, and retaining talent.
• Assess team competencies against current and upcoming technologies, identify gaps, and build training plans.
• Improve how software development activities are planned, tracked, and executed: effort estimation, milestones, risk, and status transparency.
• Provide guidance to the team, evaluate the development framework, tool chains, and CI/CD practices.
• Strengthen collaboration with US teams, creating clear interfaces and a common project view.
• Interface with system engineering, V&V, quality, and project management.
• Participate in regional initiatives and support new business proposals.
