Job summary

Bosch México is seeking a Resident Engineer to serve as the on-site technical liaison for Bosch Chassis Controls. You will interface with OEM teams and Bosch global project teams, supporting vehicle integration, diagnostics, and software releases.

The role requires onboarding OEMs across multiple locations in Mexico, frequent travel, and strong communication skills. Ability to rotate across Mexico City, Hermosillo, Guadalajara, and Plymouth sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (ME or EE) is required.
• +8 years of automotive experience is required.
• Experience with diagnostic tools is required.
• Experience with SW tools – programming, log file creation, engineering measurement tools.
• Past experience dealing with OEM customers and automotive EE components is required.
• Ethernet / CAN knowledge is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
• Team oriented working style with hands-on problem solving is mandatory.
• Strong customer/negotiation skills are desirable.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site technical liaison between Bosch and OEM project managers.
• Troubleshoot and debug vehicles and test benches; collect logs.
• Flash software updates and debug CAN issues; drive service procedures.
• Coordinate vehicle updates with OEM Performance Engineer.
• Manage issue-resolution lifecycle and Jira tracking to closure.
• Provide plant/build support across program phases and value engineering.
• Contribute to technical documentation for customers.
