Job summary

Bosch Group in Mexico seeks a Resident Engineer to serve as the on-site technical liaison for Bosch Chassis Controls. You will interface with OEM engineering teams and Bosch project teams to ensure seamless collaboration across programs.

This role requires rotating presence across Mexico City, Hermosillo, Guadalajara, and Plymouth sites, leading debugging, software updates, and change management while maintaining traceability and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering: Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• +8 years of automotive experience.
• Experience with diagnostic tools.
• Experience with SW tools – programming, log file creation, engineering measurement tools.
• Past experience with OEM customers and automotive EE components.
• Ethernet/CAN knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication is mandatory.
• Team-oriented, hands-on problem solving.
• Able to manage daily activities independently.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary on-site liaison between Bosch and OEM project managers.
• Coordinate location rotations across MX sites (Mexico City, Hermosillo, Guadalajara, Plymouth).
• Drive open technical topics to rapid closure with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot and debug vehicles and test benches; verify wiring and DTCs.
• Perform vehicle integration tasks including flash updates and CAN debugging.
• Coordinate engineering change management and document releases.
• Provide plant/build support and develop technical documentation.
• Support seasonal vehicle testing and required travel.
