Guardian Glass in Mexico is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to manage GL, fixed assets, leases and collaborate with operations to drive continuous improvements. You will work across the global organization with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate postings and timely close.

We value a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, strong GL experience, ERP proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsabilidades

• Own key accounting tasks and support month-end close.
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and provide commentary.
• Provide ad hoc information and analysis to other departments.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit.
• Work across regions to understand local regulations and improve processes.

What You Will Do

• Where you'll manage fixed assets, stockroom operations, and leases. You'll also collaborate on projects with our operations team, contributing to continuous improvements.
• Perform regular General Ledger (GL) processes to ensure accurate and timely posting to the ledger, variance analysis, Balance Sheet account analysis & reconciliation.
• Take ownership of key accounting tasks by using critical thinking to ensure accurate reconciliations, month-end close processes, and partner with the accounting team.
• Analyze the financial statements for discrepancies and provide commentary for forecast vs actual, standard vs actual & month over month change in account balances.
• Provide ad hoc information, support and analysis to other departments (Tax, Audit, HR, etc.).
• Seek and share knowledge, create value by identifying opportunities for process improvement and standardization, challenge the status quo.
• Work with external auditors and support annual audit process; investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.
• Work across regions and capabilities to understand local regulations to help improve their processes.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent communication, and teamwork skills.
• Strong experience in accounting including General Ledger processes - Journal Entries, Intercompany Transactions, Account Reconciliations, Variance Analysis and supporting Month-End close.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 with MS Excel skills (spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation).
• Be pro-active.
• Proficient in English.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Progressive accounting experience.
• Experience evaluating large data sets from multiple sources and providing analysis.
• Hands-on experience with ERP & accounting sub-systems.
• Experience in Microsoft Power Apps & Power BI.
