About the Role

Available Locations: Mexico City, MX

As a General Ledger (GL) Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You’ll assist with a variety of General Ledger activities, focusing on driving operational efficiency within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support month‑end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries (e.g., accruals, cash activity, payroll).
• Conduct or assist with account analysis and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting policies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Operations, HR, FP&A) to support accurate financial reporting and ensure key transactions are accounted for.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in corporate accounting activities.
• Contribute to special projects as needed, including accounting system upgrades, data validation, and reporting optimization.
• Stay informed on relevant accounting standards and compliance issues to ensure adherence to US GAAP or other applicable frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast‑growing environment, preferably in a public company.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to develop, organize, and complete projects.
• Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
• Experience with Cash Accounting, Payroll Accounting, and Accruals.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in NetSuite/Oracle Cloud, BlackLine/ARCs, Alteryx, and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various teams.
• CPA/CA preferred.
