TE Connectivity in Hermosillo, Mexico, seeks a Strategic Sourcing Analyst IV to develop regional sourcing strategies for tooling-related manufacturing commodities and suppliers, driving cost, quality, productivity, and delivery performance.

The role partners with cross-functional teams to optimize supplier performance, negotiate strategic agreements, manage supplier risks, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supply Chain roles.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with tooling-related manufacturing technologies such as molding, stamping, die casting, or similar processes.
  • Proven experience leading supplier negotiations and sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong background in supplier selection, commodity management, and cost optimization programs.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering teams to drive supplier development and optimization initiatives.
  • Define supplier strategies including growth, development, improvement, or exit plans.
  • Lead supplier sourcing activities including RFQs, supplier evaluations, bidding processes, contract awards, and onboarding.
  • Continuously optimize the supplier base to improve performance and competitiveness.
  • Lead negotiations for pricing, contracts, minimum order quantities, payment terms, and lead times.
  • Drive cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives while ensuring supply continuity.
  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and regular business reviews.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans to address performance gaps.
  • Manage supplier lead-time reduction initiatives and capacity planning activities.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for tooling suppliers.
  • Manage tooling databases, supplier capabilities, and tooling lifecycle activities.
  • Drive tooling-related cost savings and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Support the resolution of tooling-related issues, including repairs, breakdowns, and performance concerns.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with sourcing policies, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Support supplier compliance with environmental, social, and governance standards, including RoHS and Conflict Minerals requirements.
  • Maintain purchasing systems, supplier records, and sourcing documentation.
  • Ensure data integrity and adherence to established procurement processes.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify new suppliers, technologies, and business opportunities.
  • Develop strategic supplier partnerships and negotiate long-term agreements.

Job Overview

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst IV is responsible for developing and executing regional sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and suppliers to achieve business objectives related to cost, quality, productivity, and delivery performance. This role partners with cross-functional teams to optimize supplier performance, negotiate strategic agreements, manage supplier risks, and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

This role partners with cross-functional teams to optimize supplier performance, negotiate strategic agreements, manage supplier risks, and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with extensive procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and deep knowledge of tooling-related manufacturing technologies such as molding, stamping, or die casting.

What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supply Chain roles.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with complex tooling-related manufacturing technologies such as molding, stamping, die casting, or similar processes.
  • Proven experience leading supplier negotiations and sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong background in supplier selection, commodity management, and cost optimization programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
  • Advanced knowledge of tooling manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with Six Sigma tools is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong customer-focused approach.
