Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer AI to collaborate with customers and shape an early product within Salesforce AI Labs. You will write code, build alongside customers, and guide automated workflows into production while maintaining code quality and security.

Expect 40–60% travel for on-site discovery and deployment, and deliver tests, tooling, and documentation to enable scalable automation within enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in software engineering or customer-facing roles.
• Ability to write and debug JavaScript or TypeScript for web apps and APIs.
• Experience explaining technical results to non-technical customers.
• Track record of delivering working software and showing tests and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Build directly with customers by selecting workflows, defining success, and securing test access and data.
• Run hands-on sessions that help customers use the product with clear scope and readiness expectations.
• Help customers understand where the product can deliver value, explain capabilities and limitations clearly.
• Write custom JavaScript tools when existing capabilities cannot complete a task.
• Debug failures across browser behavior, agent execution, application state, and backend services.
• Build tests for business outcomes, exceptions, partial completion, and recovery.
• Turn deployment lessons into reusable tools and tests and address recurring product gaps.
• Expect approximately 40–60% travel for customer discovery, hands-on build sessions, and launches.
