Firmware Engineer - Monterrey en John Deere se encargará de desarrollar módulos de software embebido para sistemas operativos y mantener componentes existentes. Se requiere comprensión sólida de tecnología de software embebido y habilidades de desarrollo.

Trabajo en un entorno ágil, con interacción continua con el equipo de software y líderes de entrega para impulsar mejoras de rendimiento y calidad de código, cumpliendo metas en plazos y estándares de la empresa.

Formación

• Conocimientos de desarrollo en C/C++ y Python.
• Experiencia en software embebido y conceptos SIL/HIL.
• Conocimiento de metodologías ágiles y análisis de datos para resolución de problemas.

Responsabilidades

• Desarrollar nuevos módulos de software embebido y mantener los existentes.
• Colaborar con el equipo mediante comunicación constante con el supervisor de software y líderes de entrega en entornos ágiles.
• Gestionar la carga de trabajo personal para entregar entregables de alta calidad.

Main Responsibilites:

• He/she will handle developing new and existing embedded software modules for Operative System.
• This role requires a good understanding of Embedded Software Technology and Strong Software Development Skills.
• Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement by proving continuous, structured feedback that promotes team growth and performance.
• Work with the team as software developer with constant communication with Software Supervisor, Delivery Leads and other Software Developers using Agile Methodology.
• Manage personal workload effectively, driving efficiency improvements and contributing feedback to the team.
• Monitor and understand team performance metrics. Manage assigned work to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet customer expectations.
• Participate in Agile meetings such as Sprint planning, Stand ups, Retrospectives, etc.

What Skills You Need:

• Good understanding using traditional and state-of-the-/art software development tools and methodologies, including:
• Software-in-the-Loop (SIL)
• Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)
• C and C++ development
• Python
• Good understanding of Embedded Software Technology and Software Development skills.
• Knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools for engineering problem solving and decision making.
• Knowledge of analog/digital electronics.
• Knowledge on requirements analysis, software design, implementation, verification, validation, and documentation.
• Effective communication skills for technical discussions, conflict resolution, meetings, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and overcome technical roadblocks.
• Ability to work effectively within Agile software development environments.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Results-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated.

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Experience developing software tools, automation scripts, or data analysis solutions using Python.
• Experience with Software Real-Time Operating Systems.
• Experience with source code management tools such as Git or SVN.
• Knowledge of CAN, J1939, or other communication protocols.

Education:

• B.S. Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Digital Systems, and Robotics Engineering or similar.
