Siemens Energy in Mexico seeks a Generator Field Services Engineer to oversee field engineering for generator work. You will inspect, test, and supervise crews during plant outages while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 4+ years of field service experience, and strong English communication. Expect extensive travel and collaborative problem-solving with global engineering staff.

Formación

  • University Degree in Electrical Engineer or similar (Bachelor’s degree).
  • Professional Experience (4+ years) as an Electrical field service engineer.
  • Technical Knowledge on electrical generator inspection, testing, repairs and maintenance of their associated auxiliary systems.
  • Good verbal communication skills with the ability to fluently speak, write, and read in English, at professional working proficiency level.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of time (sometimes at little or short notice)
  • Teamwork (Demonstrated ability to work within teams - conceptualize and socialize ideas, make recommendations and facilitate team consensus to move forward.)
  • Planning skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.

Responsabilidades

  • Conduct electrical and mechanical specialty testing (low and high voltage) as required; Perform visual inspections and collaborate with engineering to provide recommendations to the customer about potential unit repairs.
  • Prepare and forward accurate reports concerning the condition and repairs and recommendations for customer equipment.
  • Ensures all work is performed per approved processes and procedures while maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality.
  • The Generator Field Service Engineer to supervise technicians working on generator equipment during power plant maintenance shutdowns (outages), both planned and unplanned system outages which can occur due to equipment performance issues, based on experience.
  • Collaborate with our worldwide engineering staff to perform specialized mechanical and electrical testing; You will serve as the primary customer contact during outages and ensure that repairs are made in a timely and accurate manner.

What You Bring
