Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions is seeking an engineer to serve as the primary technical contact for High-Speed OverPass products in Guadalajara and with field customers. You will support installation, troubleshooting, and the implementation of new solutions with suppliers, while driving corrective actions with global teams.

Responsibilities include on-site and remote support, diagnosing interconnect issues, and delivering training and workshops to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years in field service or customer-facing technical roles.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing or assembly environments.
• Proficient with CAD tools, especially SolidWorks.
• Spanish and English bilingual.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for on-site and remote support involving installation, integration, operation, and application of High-Speed OverPass products.
• Diagnose interconnect issues involving mechanical fit, alignment, component interfaces, handling, assembly conditions, and signal transmission.
• Work directly with plants in Guadalajara and provide customer support in the field.
• Implement new solutions with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and OEM partners.
• Observe and evaluate manufacturing and assembly processes to identify issues and potential yield loss.
• Use CAD tools to review assemblies and support root cause investigations.
• Escalate issues to Engineering, Quality, Product Development, or NPI as needed.
• Deliver technical training, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations to customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Document service activities and share voice-of-customer feedback with stakeholders.
• Review and validate training materials and guidance based on field experience.
