Job summary

Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita is seeking a Director of Spa to lead all aspects of spa operations during pre-opening and ongoing operations. You will supervise the Spa Manager, therapists, and technicians, develop profitable spa programs, and drive guest satisfaction in a luxury, oceanfront setting.

The role requires strong budgeting, staff leadership, and marketing skills, with adaptation to the resort’s upscale, destination-driven experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of spa management experience in an upscale hotel or resort strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Oversee direct-report spa departments, and manage budgeting and planning.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; SpaSoft experience preferred.
• TABC and Food Handler’s certificates or ability to acquire them if hired.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the budget, managing expenses within the approved budget constraints for the Spa.
• Manage the Spa team and develop relationships with guests and vendors.
• Create and promote a profitable Spa program.
• Directly supervise the Spa Manager and therapists/technicians.
• Promote special promotions and events for the Spa.
• Create local day-guest business through gift cards and holiday events.
• Assist in promoting the Spa to hotel guests.
• Provide personal attention to guests.
• Administer Spa policies and procedures.
• Stay attuned to spa industry trends and trainings.
• Attend product knowledge trainings.
