Koch is seeking an NPI Planner – Medical Connectors and Cable Assemblies in Tijuana, Mexico, to cover a 6-month maternity leave. You will lead cross-functional teams, establish lead-times, coordinate ERP/MRP planning with sales and procurement, and ensure compliance with ISO/AS standards while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires 5+ years in Maquiladoras environments, strong ERP/MRP and document control experience, and fluency in English.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • +5 years of experience in Maquiladoras environments.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. Glovia) and document control (e.g. SolidWorks PDM).
  • Proficient in MS Office suite including Project, PowerPoint and Excel; Power BI a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO13485, AS9100, FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO9001.
  • Fluent English (80–90%).

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinate ERP/MRP plans with sales; ensure accurate dates and prioritization.
  • Ensure timely material arrival with procurement.
  • Schedule work orders and manage equipment, materials and operators.
  • Maintain build traceability and documentation; ensure correct changes.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify improvement opportunities using metrics.

Your Job
  • Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute NPI builds that deliver on revenue and on-time delivery commitments
  • Provide clear ownership and single point of contact for items related to initiation, approval, and implementation of product and process changes
What You Will Do
  • NPI Planner – Medical Connectors and Cable Assemblies:
  • Establish lead-time for NPI builds considering existing commitments, capacity constraints, inventory, and risk
  • Work with sales to ensure ERP/MRP plan dates are accurrate and reflect changing customer requirements and agreed prioritization
  • Partner with procurement team to ensure timely arrival of materials
  • Schedule work orders including commitment of equipment, materials, and qualified operators
  • Follow builds through material procurement, inspection, build, test, and shipment to customers
  • Escalate support requests and drive issue resolution
  • Work with NPI Project Manager to ensure preparedness for first-time builds which includes confirming ERP/MRP is complete and accurrate, orders are booked properly, and tooling and working instructions are available
  • Forecast NPI revenue timing and execute to commitments
  • Ensure build traceability and good documentation practices are maintained
  • Coordinate with HSE to ensure build process and machine risks have been assessed and mitigated prior to build initiation
  • Share lessons learned during post-build reviews and assess build performance versus routing standards
  • Global ECO champion:
  • Optimize global ECO process, systems, and tools to ensure proposed changes undergo a robust, cross-functional review prior to implementation
  • Work with cross-functional team to standardize implementation deliverables, owners, and timelines based on assessed risk
  • Manage multiple change requests that vary in urgency and complexity
  • Ensure changes are managed in compliance with requirements for AS9100, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001
  • Utilize metrics to identify, prioritize, and monitor continuous improvement activities
  • Achieve difficult balance of ensuring thorough vetting and timely execution of proposed changes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related fields.
  • +5 years of experience in Maquiladoras environments
  • Ability to navigate ERP/MRP (e.g. Glovia) and document control systems (e.g. SolidWorks PDM)
  • Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office suite including Project, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Power BI would be beneficial
  • Experience developing products for medical, aerospace, and defense applications with insights into market expectations
  • Familiarity with ISO13485, AS9100, FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO9001
  • Excellent use of Office (Word, Excel, Power BI etc).
  • Fluency in English (80%-90%)
