Molex in Mexico (Jalisco, El Salto) seeks a Process Engineer to develop manufacturing processes based on product specifications and actively support production lines to implement, control, and continuously improve operations.

You will lead shop-floor problem solving with data-driven methods, create and maintain process documentation, and work with cross-functional teams to apply Lean, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Kaizen practices.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience coordinating, executing, tracking, and solving project-related issues with support and service teams.
  • Knowledge and application of ISO, QS, and TS quality systems.
  • Advanced conversational English skills.
  • Experience with SAP and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience developing and maintaining manufacturing process documentation.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes aligned with product specifications.
  • Drive process improvements by monitoring, controlling, and optimizing production operations.
  • Analyze and resolve manufacturing issues on the production floor using a structured, data-driven approach.
  • Create, maintain, and release process documentation, including visual aids, control plans, and internal control documents.
  • Coordinate, execute, and follow up on cross-functional projects with support and service teams.
  • Design and analyze tooling, fixtures, devices, and production boards to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Apply quality and continuous improvement methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Poka-Yoke, corrective actions, and Kaizen.
  • Balance and optimize production lines utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Support supplier qualification activities and engineering change implementation (ECNs).

Your Job:

As a Process Engineer, you will develop manufacturing processes based on product specifications while actively supporting production lines to implement, control, and continuously improve manufacturing operations. You will play a key role in shop floor problem-solving through analytical thinking and will be responsible for defining and maintaining process documentation for workstations and manufacturing operations.

Our Team:

You will be part of the Global Shared Plants (GSP) organization, working closely with manufacturing, operations, quality and support teams to drive operational excellence, process efficiency, and continuous improvement across production environments.

What You Will Do:
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes aligned with product specifications.
  • Drive process improvements by monitoring, controlling, and optimizing production operations.
  • Analyze and resolve manufacturing issues on the production floor using a structured, data-driven approach.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience coordinating, executing, tracking, and solving project-related issues with support and service teams.
  • Knowledge and application of international quality systems, including ISO, QS, and TS standards.
  • Advanced conversational English skills.
  • Experience with SAP and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience developing and maintaining manufacturing process documentation.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
What Will Put You Ahead:
  • Experience developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard time calculations.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Poka-Yoke systems.
  • Experience applying corrective action methodologies, including RAC, RDP, and 8D.
  • Experience balancing and optimizing production lines using Kaizen methodologies.
  • Ability to establish short- and medium-term quality improvement plans with ongoing performance measurement.
  • Experience in supplier selection and qualification processes.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving, leadership, communication, self-management, and interpersonal skills.
