TekniPlex Healthcare is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator in Ciudad Juárez to lead the EHS program across production, warehouse, and office operations. You will implement and maintain ISO-based systems, drive risk assessments, and coordinate audits to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires knowledge of NOM-STPS, experience with JHA/IPER methodologies, and strong skills in incident investigations and safety culture development.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience implementing and administering EHS Management Systems.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with NOM-STPS and Environmental Regulations.
  • Experience developing and implementing Risk Assessment Methodologies (JHA/IPER).
  • Experience coordinating internal, external, customer, and corporate audits.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessment Methodologies (JHA/IPER).
  • Knowledge of EHS performance indicators (TRIR, DART, Near Miss, and Leading Indicators).
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Environmental, Health & Safety Management System across production, warehouse, and office operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, environmental regulations, corporate EHS standards, and customer requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor risk assessment methodologies (JHA/IPER), ensuring proper application during critical activities and operational changes.
  • Coordinate internal, external, customer, and corporate EHS audits while ensuring the effective closure of audit findings.
  • Monitor EHS performance indicators, analyze trends, and implement action plans that contribute to risk reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate key EHS programs—including Permit to Work (LOTO, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work), Ergonomics, Chemical Management, Emergency Response, Contractor Management, EHS Training, and Safety Culture initiatives—while supporting operational leadership in risk-based decision making.

General Job Description

Coordinate, implement, and lead Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management activities with a primary focus on identifying, assessing, and controlling workplace risks through JHA/IPER methodologies. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, preventing incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture across production, warehouse, and office operations.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related Engineering discipline.
Experience
  • Experience implementing and administering EHS Management Systems.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with Mexican Occupational Safety (NOM-STPS) and Environmental Regulations.
  • Experience developing and implementing Risk Assessment Methodologies (JHA/IPER).
  • Experience coordinating internal, external, customer, and corporate audits.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Knowledge, Training and Specific Skills
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Risk Assessment Methodologies (JHA/IPER).
  • Knowledge of EHS performance indicators (TRIR, DART, Near Miss, and Leading Indicators).
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.

  • Ergonomics knowledge is considered an advantage.
