Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs, procedures, and controls in compliance with applicable federal, state, and corporate regulations.
Coordinate and maintain environmental regulatory compliance activities, including:
- Federal & statal COA (Cédula de Operación Anual)
- Environmental permits and operating licenses
- Generator registrations for hazardous and special handling waste
- Preventive Environmental Impact Reports and applicable environmental submissions
- Develop, implement, and maintain Hazardous Waste and Special Handling Waste Management Plans.
- Coordinate hazardous waste management activities, including segregation, storage, labeling, inspections, manifests, and final disposal with authorized vendors.
- Follow up and ensure compliance with environmental reporting requirements and applicable legal obligations.
- Develop and update risk assessments for machinery, equipment, processes, and environmental aspects.
- Evaluate and approve modifications to facilities, machinery, equipment, and processes from an EHS and environmental perspective.
- Create, implement, and maintain emergency response plans in coordination with emergency brigades and government authorities.
- Conduct environmental and safety inspections, audits, and compliance evaluations.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions derived from inspections, incidents, audits, and risk assessments.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors according to regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to environmental performance, waste reduction, sustainability, and EHS compliance.
- Maintain communication with government agencies and support inspections or audits from regulatory authorities and corporate teams.
- Develop and update EHS procedures, work instructions, and environmental documentation.
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS and
environmental compliance within manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of Mexican federal and state environmental regulations and applicable NOM-STPS requirements.
Experience with:
- COA Federal and COA Statal submissions
- Hazardous waste and special handling waste management
- Environmental permits and legal compliance
- Risk analysis for machinery and equipment
- Environmental impact and preventive reports
- Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ISO 13485, and FDA requirements preferred.
