North American Production Sharing de México, S.A. de C.V. seeks an EHS Engineer to establish and scale Environmental, Health & Safety programs at our electronics manufacturing site in Mexico.

You will build regulatory-compliant processes, promote a strong safety culture, and support ISO management systems during a critical startup phase. Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fluent Spanish and professional English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs and procedures in compliance with Mexican regulations and NOM standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety inspections to prevent workplace incidents.
  • Lead safety programs for high-risk activities, including LOTO, working at heights, hot work, and contractor safety.
  • Manage environmental compliance activities, including hazardous waste, chemical management, wastewater, and emissions.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Coordinate emergency response planning and conduct emergency drills.
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Track and report EHS metrics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Position Summary

We are seeking an EHS Engineer to support the launch and growth of our electronics manufacturing facility in Mexico. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining Environmental, Health & Safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting ISO management systems during a critical startup phase.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs and procedures in compliance with Mexican regulations and NOM standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety inspections to prevent workplace incidents.
  • Lead safety programs for high-risk activities, including LOTO, working at heights, hot work, and contractor safety.
  • Manage environmental compliance activities, including hazardous waste, chemical management, wastewater, and emissions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican EHS regulations and NOM standards.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 4501 management systems.
  • Skilled in risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response planning.
  • Experience supporting factory startup, expansion, or greenfield projects is highly preferred.
  • Fluent Spanish and professional English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, automotive, or multinational manufacturing companies.
  • EHS certifications.
