HMD Trucking Inc in the Chicago area seeks a Driver Relations Specialist to support driver retention by building rapport, collecting feedback, and driving improvements across operations.

You will conduct new hire check-ins at 7, 30, 60 and 90 days, resolve driver issues with dispatch, and help identify retention risks. Strong people skills and a compassionate approach are essential for success.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service role.
• Experience in trucking/logistics preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with driver issues reported by drivers and dispatchers and support operations management with solving.
• Identify drivers who are potential retention issues and keep in close contact to correct their situation.
• Proactively call drivers to identify any potential problems/obtain general feedback.
• Communicate daily with operations and retention management team via call and email.
• Conduct Exit Interviews for resigning drivers and identify opportunities for retention.
• Ability to build genuine rapport with drivers.
• Assist with booking travel for drivers when applicable.

Job Description:

The main purpose of this position is to support the company’s retention initiatives by interacting and building rapport with our drivers. Our Driver Relations Specialist will collect feedback on driver issues and work directly with the Operations to generate improvement processes to better the driver experience. Additionally, the Driver Retention Specialist will conduct check-in interviews at integral employment milestones, conduct final interviews on prospective candidates, and other processes to aid with the improvement of the general driver experience. Retention Specialist must have excellent people skills with problem-solving instincts as well highly compassionate. Essential Job Functions:
