Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Mexico is seeking a senior Design Release Engineer (DRE) for Electrical & Electronics (EECI) to own end-to-end design, release, and validation of vehicle electrical systems and ECUs. This role involves module integration, DVP&R planning, and close collaboration with architects and suppliers.

You will travel to assembly plants and supplier sites across Mexico to support prototype builds and launches, manage ECOs/ECRs in PLM, and lead root-cause analysis for electrical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Automotive Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years as Electrical DRE or Systems Release Engineer in automotive.
• Strong knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD/LIN/Ethernet and diagnostic tools.
• Experience with wire harness routing, power distribution, EMC/EMI.
• Proficiency with CATIA/NX/Creo and PLM tools (Teamcenter/Enovia).
• Fluent Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel domestically in Mexico up to 35%.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Component Ownership from concept to production release for EECI.
• Architecture & harness integration with Electrical System Architects.
• Manage Tier-1 suppliers through DFM reviews and ECOs/ECRs.
• Define and execute DVP&R, lead bench and HIL tests and vehicle validation.
• Support on-site plant launches and prototype builds in Mexico.
• Lead root-cause analysis for electrical failures and quality issues.
