Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Mexico City/Toluca area is seeking a Body Safety Design and Release Engineer (DRE) to lead the design, integration, testing, validation, and production release of passive safety systems and crash energy management structures. Hybrid work model with periodic travel to supplier and testing sites.

You will own component ownership across occupant protection systems from concept through vehicle launch, collaborating with CAE, manufacturing, and Tier 1 partners to ensure safety

Qualifications

Experience with automotive CAD and PLM platforms for vehicle packaging and surface reviews.
Strong knowledge of safety-related materials and crash structures.
Proficient in technical English and Spanish communication.

Responsibilities

Safety System Design and Release Management for passive body safety components.
Own BOM and manage part releases in PLM environments.
Perform GD&T, 3D packaging analyses, and clash checks in NX/CATIA.
Lead root-cause investigations (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) for safety and testing issues.
Support crash validation, regulatory compliance, and DVP&R documentation.
Interface with Tier 1 suppliers and manufacturing for DFMEA and DFMA considerations.
