Parker Hannifin in Mexico is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (R&D) to design, develop, test, and validate new products and mechanical systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable solutions.

The role emphasizes innovation, technical analysis, and problem solving to support product development and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on design for manufacturability and quality standards. Fluency in English is required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of strong experience in mechanical design and R&D roles or product development.
• SolidWorks and Pro/E knowledge.
• 2D and 3D modeling skills.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in sensor design is desirable.
• Engineering drawing standards and change management.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept through validation and release.
• Perform engineering analyses, simulations, and calculations to support design decisions and ensure performance.
• Create and execute test plans for prototypes, verification, and validation.
• Maintain detailed engineering documentation such as drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Management during product development.
• Support manufacturability, DFMA, and cost optimization.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and root cause analysis.

Position Summary

Mechanical Engineer (R&D) is responsible for the design, development, testing and validation of new products, components and mechanical systems. This role focuses on innovation, technical analysis and engineering problem solving to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives. Works with cross functional teams and business requirements to give reliable and manufacturable mechanical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept through validation and release.
• Conduct engineering analysis, simulations and calculations to support design decisions and ensure product performance and reliability.
• Develop and execute test plans, including prototype, testing, verification, and validation activities.
• Create and maintaining detailed engineering documentation such as drawings, specifications. BOM´s and technical reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Management during product development.
• Support designs for manufacturability, design for assembly, and cost optimization activities.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, failure analysis and root cause analysis.
• Support product changes, engineering change orders and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements and internal engineering guidelines.
• Applies emerging technologies, materials and engineering best practices to drive innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
• 6 + Years of strong experience in Mechanical design, R&D engineering roles or product development
• Must Solidworks and Pro/E knowedge.
• 2D – 3D Modeling
• Knowledge in materials and manufacturing process.
• Desirable Experience in Sensor design.
• Engineering drawing standards
• Experience in testing methods, analysis tools and validation process.
• Product development lifecycle, design controls and change management processes.
• Strong analytical problem solving
