The role involves creating and modifying engineering drawings, evaluating customer requests, and guiding designs to manufacturing while ensuring regulatory and safety standards compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Technology preferred.
• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience.
• Ability to solve design issues and apply industry standards.
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, CAD, and related design tools.
• Effective verbal and written English for technical discussions.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Design solutions for products through the design process. Leverage existing product lines to create custom design solution opportunities. Differentiate Our Brand from its competitors by creating new options and improving the lifestyle of our end-users.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design solutions for end-users requiring non-standard product configurations.
• Create and modify engineering drawings based on user specified parameters.
• Evaluate customer requests for product modifications and prepare design cost estimates.
• Develop specific product designs and manage scope of documentation necessary to take product to manufacturing phase.
• Develop techniques for creating custom design solutions for enhancing functionality of existing products.
• Deliver cost-effective design solutions within required timeframes.
• Select materials that ensure designs meet required load and performance conditions.
• Evaluate, analyze, and recommend improvements to products and processes.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable regulatory and safety standards.
• Collaborate with functional leads, commercial, materials, and shop floor personnel to ensure design specifications are met and products are delivered on time.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical or Industrial Technology preferred
• High school diploma or GED plus 3 years of experience.
• Ability to solve design issues, knowledge of standards applicable in the industry.
• Excellent skills in operating design software: SolidWorks, CAD, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English (ideally fluent) and comprehend technical discussions, engineering documentation, and drawings.
• Thorough knowledge of FDA and ISO Standards a plus.
• Ability to work independently and with other functional groups, such as R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service.
