AgileEngine is seeking a mid-level Data Engineer to build and maintain dbt pipelines and Snowflake data marts that support customer-facing reporting, spend analytics, and AI features.

You will own production data pipelines, ensure data quality, and collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to translate complex business logic into reliable data products. The role emphasizes performance tuning and cost management in Snowflake.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related role with production data pipelines.
• Solid dbt experience: modeling, tests, macros, and incremental models.
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
• Data modeling fundamentals: dimensional modeling, data marts, grains and conformance.
• Experience with a modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience with ingestion tooling and orchestration (Airbyte, Prefect, or equivalents).
• Familiarity with agentic coding tools and guardrails around their output.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain dbt pipelines, data marts, and warehouse models for in-app reporting and analytics.
• Translate complex business logic into maintainable, tested pipelines.
• Develop models within data mart architecture, ensuring conformed dimensions and proper grain.
• Contribute to semantic layer concepts queried by internal systems and AI agents.
• Maintain data boundary between PII and reporting-safe data.
• Build and maintain FastAPI services exposing reporting marts to customers.
• Ingest data via Airbyte, OneSchema, and S3 into the warehouse used by Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Implement data quality checks, freshness, schema tests, and reconciliation.
