Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Mid-level Data Engineer to build and maintain dbt pipelines and Snowflake data marts behind customer reporting, spend analytics, and AI features.

The role requires strong dbt, SQL, Python, and data modeling skills with 3+ years in analytics/data engineering and upper-intermediate English. You will contribute to a semantic layer and FastAPI services to expose insights to customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related role with production data pipelines.
• Solid dbt experience: modeling, tests, macros, and incremental models.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Data modeling fundamentals: dimensional modeling, data marts, grain, conformance.
• Experience with a modern cloud warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience with ingestion tooling and orchestration (Airbyte, Prefect).
• Understanding of guardrails around AI/automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt pipelines, data marts, and warehouse models for in-app reporting and analytics.
• Translate procurement business logic into robust, tested pipeline code.
• Develop models within data mart architecture and improve grain and conformance.
• Contribute to semantic layer so metrics and dimensions are defined consistently.
• Maintain data boundary for PII and reporting-safe data.
• Build and maintain FastAPI services exposing reporting marts.
• Create ingestion pipelines (Airbyte, OneSchema, S3) and support customer data onboarding.
• Implement data quality checks and alerting to surface problems early.
• Document lineage and definitions for reliable data.
• Tune Snowflake performance and cost within built models.
• Share learnings through code reviews and discussions.
