Siemens Mobility is seeking a skilled customs and trade compliance professional in Ciudad Juárez, MX. The role focuses on coordinating import/export operations, validating declarations, and maintaining regulatory compliance across the IMMEX framework.

You will lead a team, work with brokers, and optimize processes to reduce costs and timelines while ensuring adherence to evolving customs laws and international treaties.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in international trade, international business, customs, or related field.
• 3–5+ years in customs, logistics, or foreign trade, IMMEX environment preferred.
• Knowledge of Customs Law, foreign trade regulations and international treaties.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and review import/export processes for materials and finished products.
• Validate customs declarations and Annex 22 audits; ensure timely, cost-efficient closures.
• Monitor offsets and reconciliations between internal systems and authority reports.
• Lead, train, and coordinate department staff; liaise with customs brokers and carriers.
• Ensure implementation of customs regulations and procedures within area of responsibility.
• Develop and enforce guidelines and plans to optimize processes.
• Implement customs guidelines and adapt processes to reflect legal changes.

Essential Job Functions

• Coordinate and review the import and export processes for raw materials and finished products.
• Validate customs declarations, conduct Annex 22 audits, and ensure that operations are closed out without negatively impacting costs or timelines.
• Monitor offsets and reconciliations between internal systems and reports from the authorities.
• Manage, train, and coordinate department staff, as well as maintain communication with customs brokers and carriers.
• Ensures the implementation and oversight of customs regulations, processes, and procedures within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Develops, implements, and enforces guidelines, solutions, and plans to optimize processes.
• Implement customs guidelines regarding existing processes and adapt processes in a timely manner to reflect legal changes.

Summary of Requirements (Qualifications, Experience, Skills)

• Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, International Business, Customs, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years (or more) in customs, logistics, and foreign trade departments, preferably in an IMMEX environment.
• Customs Law, foreign trade regulations, and international treaties.
• Advanced proficiency in IMMEX, PROSEC, VUCEM, Annex 22, Annex 24, and Annex 31.
• ERPs (SAP preferred) and customs inventory control systems
• Familiarity with supply chain security programs such as CTPAT and OEA.
• Analytical skills, very good judgment, decision making, negotiation, persuasion, people orientation.
• High level of motivation and problem solving.
