• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Customer Quality, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, or related function within manufacturing.
• Experience using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA and structured problem solving.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and quality notifications.
• Coordinate quality activities and communications between customers, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and Molex sites.
• Review quality data and ensure accurate information is communicated to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on 8D reports, corrective actions, and root cause investigations.
• Lead the coordination and closure of customer quality notifications and change management activities.
• Facilitate cross-functional problem solving involving Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales.
• Drive timely resolution of customer concerns through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Schedule and conduct quality review meetings with customers and teams.
• Coordinate product and process qualification activities for new products/engineering changes.

As a Customer Quality Engineer (CQE), you will serve as the primary quality liaison between Molex, customers, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams. In this role, you will lead customer quality communications, coordinate global quality improvement initiatives, and drive effective resolution of customer concerns through structured problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain broad visibility across the business while influencing customer satisfaction, product quality, and operational excellence across multiple manufacturing sites.

Our Team

You will be part of the DSS Quality organization, working closely with Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Sales, and Customer teams across multiple Molex locations. Our team partners with strategic customers and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent quality performance, effective communication, and successful execution of improvement initiatives across the global supply chain.

What You Will Do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and quality notifications.
• Coordinate quality activities and communications between customers, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and Molex manufacturing sites.
• Review quality data and ensure accurate information is communicated to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on 8D reports, corrective actions, and root cause investigations prior to customer submission.
• Lead the coordination and closure of customer quality notifications and change management activities.
• Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving efforts involving Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales teams.
• Drive timely resolution of customer concerns through structured root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Schedule and conduct quality review meetings with customers, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Coordinate product and process qualification activities associated with new products and engineering changes.
• Support global quality improvement initiatives and ensure alignment of quality practices across Molex facilities.
• Participate in customer audits, system audits, and proactive quality reviews.
• Travel to customer, contract manufacturer, and Molex locations to support issue resolution, relationship building, and continuous improvement activities.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Customer Quality, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, or a related quality function within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements and resolve customer concerns.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA, and structured problem solving.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders across different functions and locations.
• Advanced English proficiency, including the ability to participate in meetings with global customers and teams.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to approximately 40% of the time within Mexico and the United States.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in a Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) role supporting strategic customers.
• Experience working in electronics manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Experience supporting supplier quality and contract manufacturer quality activities.
• Knowledge of Advanced Quality Planning (AQP), APQP, PPAP, and change management processes.
• Experience reviewing and approving customer-facing 8D responses.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, including DOE and advanced problem-solving tools.
• Experience coordinating quality activities across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Strong presentation, project management, and facilitation skills.
