Flextronics - The Flex Company in Guadalajara, North Site, seeks a Cost Accountant to support monthly close, analyze variances, and reconcile balance sheet accounts. You will report to the Controller Assistant and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial postings.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in accounting, strong English, and advanced Excel skills, with experience in P&L and balance sheet work, and knowledge of SOX and US GAAP auditing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in financial administration, accounting, or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced English.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with P&L and balance sheet accounts.
• Knowledge of SOX and US GAAP auditing.
• A professional certification is preferred - CPA, CA, CMA, CFP, APICS, CGA.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic review of P&L account to ensure postings follow policy.
• Compare Actual with Forecast/Quote and research variances.
• Collect business reasons for variances and make adjustments.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger and schedules.
• Review accounts periodically to identify potential risks and mitigate them.
• Ensure book close and reporting activities are planned and executed accurately.
• Collaborate with Operations to prepare Forecast/Budget for related accounts.
• Work with Operations to improve business and operational metrics.
• Be familiar with Controllers Handbook, RCTS and related regulatory requirements.
