Job summary

Flex, located at Guadalajara, North Site, is seeking a Cost Accountant to manage accounting records, analyze variances, and support budgeting and forecasting. Reporting to the Controller Assistant, the role emphasizes accuracy, policy adherence, and collaboration with operations to improve financial metrics.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in finance or accounting, strong English, advanced Excel skills, and experience with P&L and balance sheets. CPA/CMA/CA/CGA preferred; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in financial administration, accounting, or related field.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience with P&L and balance sheet accounts.
• Knowledge of SOX and US GAAP auditing.
• Proactive and analytical; able to work under pressure.
• Professional certification (CPA / CMA / CA / CGA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic review of P&L to ensure postings follow policy, process, and procedures.
• Compare actuals with forecast, research variances, and post adjustments.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger/manual schedules.
• Identify risks in accounts and mitigate them.
• Ensure timely completion of book close and reporting activities.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve financial metrics.
• Be familiar with Controllers Handbook and regulatory requirements.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking for a Cost Accountant located in Guadalajara, North Site.

Reporting to the Controller Assistant, Cost Accountant role involves in charge of preparing and maintaining accounting records and researching and interpreting accounting records to give advice or prepare statements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books. Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any and ensure that those variances are properly dealt in the books of accounts.
• Review the accounts on periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.
• Ensure that all the book close related /reporting activities are properly planned and executed on timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.
• Work along with Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS

• May propose/provide input to defining methods, standards, policies, and procedures
• Decisions and recommendations may impact multiple departments and functions. Facilitates team in making group decisions.
