Soben Contract & Commercial is seeking a Contracts Manager in Querétaro, Mexico. The role involves building relationships with clients, maintaining contract-related documents, and presenting information to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration, strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Responsibilities include managing contract processes, assisting procurement managers, and conducting analysis and presentations.

Formación

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration and all supply chain activities.
  • Experience in consulting engineering for large-scale or Mission Critical Construction projects.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide contract administration and review of contract terms and conditions.
  • Assist Procurement Managers in maintaining project procurement plans.
  • Prepare and present detailed Scope of Work documents.
  • Manage the RFx process, including commercial evaluations and pre-bid meetings.

Contracts Manager

Department: Mexico Consultancy

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Queretaro, Mexico

Reporting To: Luis Guadarrama

Description

We are looking for a Contracts Manager to build and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and other business connections. Maintain contract‑related documents and correspondence. Present contract information to relevant parties, such as stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide contract administration, review of contract terms and conditions, Paralegal type work, and work with either construction or heavy equipment such as generators or air handling units procurement.
  • Assist Procurement Managers to prepare and maintain project procurement plan.
  • Draft and present Single Source Justifications Forms.
  • Draft and present the preparation of Scope of Work documents.
  • Preparation and presentation of detailed OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) buyer/expediting duties with coordination between the multiple category teams.
  • Preparation and presentation of Negotiation Plans and conduct or participation in negotiations.
  • Presentation and manage the RFx process, including commercial evaluations and pre‑bid meetings.
  • Draft and process change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  • When appropriate, implement new contract process controls.
  • Presentation and communication with the home office on a regular basis regarding procurement matters.
  • Preparation and presentation of accurate reports for the project team, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Present, identify, and continually propose industry standards/improve processes.
  • Provide commercial price analysis, modeling, purchase‑price cost analysis, and identify competitive benchmarks.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration and all supply chain activities.
  • Experience with EPCM/EPC/GMP, large‑scale or Mission Critical Construction in a consulting engineering capacity (Energy/electrical projects preferred).
  • Engineering, Procurement, and Construction knowledge.
  • Strong skills with the suite of Microsoft Office products.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven experience and good relationship working with the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE).
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Spanish.
  • Organized and detail‑oriented.
