Brunswick in Ensenada, Mexico, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead Lean Six Sigma projects, applying DMAIC, and drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer experience improvements across operations.

You will analyze processes with Excel and data tools, facilitate kaizen events, standardize best practices, and collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to sustain gains under senior CI leadership.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (internal program or reputable external body).
  • 2–5 years of experience in operations, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or CI (internships/co-ops acceptable).
  • Demonstrated experience applying structured problem-solving and leading improvement work.

Responsabilidades

  • Project Leadership (DMAIC / Lean): Lead cross-functional Lean Six Sigma projects, define project charters, problem statements, goals, scope, benefits, timelines, risks, and stakeholder plans. Perform root cause analysis and develop sustainable solutions with controls in place.
  • Data & Statistical Analysis: Analyze process performance, support data collection plans, perform measurement system evaluation, and use statistical methods and software such as Excel, Minitab/JMP to interpret and communicate insights.
  • Kaizen & Lean Deployment: Facilitate kaizen events, rapid improvement workshops, and implement Lean practices such as 5S, SMED, visual management, and pull systems.
  • Change Management & Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other functions to drive adoption of improvements and communicate progress through governance tools.
  • Documentation, Controls, and Sustainment: Create and update process documentation, establish sustainment mechanisms, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and internal standards.

Continuous Improvement Engineer

Location: Ensenada, Mexico

Workplace Category: Onsite

Position Overview

As part of the Global Advanced Manufacturing Technology team, you will lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer experience. This role applies DMAIC, Lean tools, and data analytics to drive measurable performance gains across operations and supporting functions. The Continuous Improvement Engineer focuses on leading well‑scoped improvement projects, facilitating kaizen events, standardizing best practices, and building problem‑solving capability within teams under guidance of senior CI leadership when needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Systems) or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (internal program or reputable external body).
  • 2–5 years of experience in operations, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or CI (internships/co‑ops acceptable).
  • Demonstrated experience applying structured problem‑solving and leading improvement work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with process capability, SPC, FMEA, DOE, PFMEA/Control Plans, or similar quality tools.
  • Experience facilitating kaizen events and training others in Lean/CI methods.
  • Exposure to ERP/MES systems and data extraction/reporting.
  • Experience training and mentoring LSS principles.
Working Conditions

Remains largely stationary at a desk or workstation but requires regular movement to operational areas. Standard office and warehouse equipment used. May encounter varying temperatures and noise levels. Working hours vary to support the global organization.

Compensation

Base pay varies based on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Compensation is dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s profile and business context.
