Canyon Construction Company is seeking a Construction Laborer to support field operations on job sites, assist with site preparation, and perform general labor tasks such as digging, backfilling, and operating small tools and equipment. This role emphasizes safety and teamwork on projects near Navajo Nation, south of Bloomfield, NM.

The ideal candidate will perform physical labor outdoors, follow directions, and have construction experience; ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Compensation

$20.32-$23.00/hour(per prevailing wage)

Wages will be paid in accordance with applicable Navajo Nation Prevailing Wage Rates.

Job Summary

The Construction Laborer supports field operations on job sites, assisting with site preparation and general labor tasks such as; shoveling, backfilling, compacting trenches and working with small tools and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor including but not limited to digging, lifting, and backfilling
• Assist equipment operators
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies and supervisor instructions
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Driver’s License preferred; Must be valid state issued
• Must comply with all site safety requirements
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Construction experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. with ease
