Job summary

Intugo, in partnership with a foreign construction and property management company, seeks an Accountant/Bookkeeper to handle daily accounting using QuickBooks, manage AP/AR, and track project costs for construction work. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Proficiency in English is required; Buildertrend or similar PM tools are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related position.
• Proven experience with AP, AR, billing, and general accounting.
• Knowledge of job costing or cost accounting, preferably within construction.
• Experience using QuickBooks or comparable accounting software, such as CONTPAQi.
• Ability to independently learn and adapt to new accounting software and systems.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, payment processing, and follow-ups.
• Perform daily bookkeeping activities, including transaction coding, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations.
• Review and organize expense categories, cost codes, products, and services to improve accounting accuracy and reporting.
• Monitor construction project budgets, track costs, identify discrepancies, and maintain purchase orders.
• Assist with monthly profit and loss (P&L) reporting and investigate financial variances.
• Support annual 1099 reporting by reviewing vendor and payment records.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Communicate financial discrepancies and resolve accounting issues with minimal supervision.
