Job summary

albo is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to own the network layer of a multi-cloud platform (GCP and AWS). You will codify network tasks, build an IDP interface for self-service IP allowlists, and work with security to implement edge controls.

You will design and operate cloud networking, implement Terraform-driven automation, and collaborate across Platform, DevOps, and Security teams to prevent single-person knowledge loss.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with Terraform and scripting to automate network tasks.
• 2+ years in a Network, Cloud, or DevOps/SRE role with a networking focus.
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, DNS, TLS, HTTP.
• Experience with cloud networking on GCP and/or AWS (VPCs, firewalls, load balancers).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes networking and edge controls like Cloud Armor or NGINX.
• Automation-first mindset; track record of reducing manual changes and incidents.
• Certs such as Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer or CCNA/CCNP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and evolve network across GCP and AWS.
• Codify network infrastructure with Terraform and automate tasks via Python/Go.
• Operate Google Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Armor, IAP, and private proxies.
• Use logs and Datadog to diagnose connectivity and DNS issues; lead incident response.
• Collaborate with Platform, DevOps, and Security; document network runbooks and diagrams.
