Job summary

albo is building a multi-cloud network platform and seeks a hands-on Network Engineer to own the network layer across GCP and AWS, turning operations into code with Terraform and Python or Go, and delivering changes through GitOps pipelines.

You’ll design and operate VPCs, private connectivity, DNS, load balancers, edge protection, and integrate network features into Keymaker-IDP, collaborating with Platform, DevOps, and Security teams to enable self-service for engineers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Network Engineering/DevOps/SRE with a networking focus.
• Solid fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, CIDR, routing, NAT, DNS, TLS, HTTP.
• Terraform IaC and scripting in Python/Go/Bash to automate network tasks.
• Cloud networking on GCP and AWS (VPCs, firewalls, load balancers, private connectivity).
• Kubernetes networking familiarity; reverse proxies like NGINX; edge controls.
• Automation mindset with AI tools a plus; relevant certifications encouraged.
• Strong documentation and ownership mindset; clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and evolve network across GCP and AWS with central ingress/egress hub.
• Codify network infra and automate DNS, firewall rules, and IP allowlists via Terraform/Python/Go.
• Operate load balancers, Cloud Armor, IAP, and private proxies on GKE with security alignment.
• Use logs and Datadog to diagnose connectivity, latency, and DNS issues; lead incident response.
• Collaborate with Platform, DevOps, and Security; document networks in runbooks and diagrams.
