Job description

The Client Partner is responsible for owning and expanding the companies strategic relationship with Microsoft in Mexico, with a focus on long-term value creation, revenue growth, and service expansion. This role is suited for a consultative account leader who understands how Microsoft buys, operates, and measures its suppliers, and who can shape complex engagements across talent solutions, AI, and digital engineering services.

The ideal candidate combines a strategic growth mindset with strong relationships inside Microsoft Mexico and the broader Microsoft ecosystem, and is capable of deepening existing engagements while identifying adjacent opportunities across new Microsoft teams, business units, and programs.

This role partners closely with companies executive leadership, Delivery, and Capacity to shape the account strategy and operating model, aligning talent supply, delivery, and solutioning to Microsoft’s priorities and planning cycles. The Client Partner will help Microsoft teams scale AI-driven initiatives, including Azure AI, Copilot, data modernization, and intelligent automation, by bringing the right talent and delivery models at the right time.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-moving, matrixed environments, is comfortable operating at the executive level in both Spanish and English, and balances strategic thinking with hands-on account leadership.

Primary Success Outcomes (first 12 months)

Become a trusted executive point of contact across Microsoft Mexico, backed by a documented stakeholder map and an account plan aligned to Microsoft’s fiscal year (July–June).

Grow account revenue and footprint by expanding current engagements into new Microsoft teams and business units in Mexico, and, where relevant, Microsoft teams in LATAM and the US served from Mexico.

Drive qualified pipeline aligned with our talent solutions and AI & digital engineering offerings.

Maintain full supplier compliance and high delivery satisfaction, with no compliance escalations and on-time renewals of SOWs and purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Microsoft Mexico account end to end, with accountability for revenue, margin, delivery health, and relationship depth.
  • Act as the primary executive interface with Microsoft stakeholders across business, engineering, Customer Success, partner/ecosystem, and Procurement teams.
  • Build and run the account plan in step with Microsoft’s fiscal year and planning cycles, anticipating budget windows, reorganizations, and shifting priorities.
  • Identify and drive expansion opportunities, moving from staff augmentation toward managed services, AI & digital engineering, data, and Copilot/Azure AI adoption programs.
  • Lead pipeline development, forecasting, and account governance, including QBRs, delivery reviews, and SOW/PO renewals.
  • Navigate Microsoft’s procurement and supplier requirements (SOWs, purchase orders, rate cards, Supplier Security & Privacy Assurance, Supplier Code of Conduct) in partnership with Legal and Finance.
  • Partner with Capacity and Talent teams to forecast Microsoft demand, shape bench and hiring plans, and ensure fast, high-quality fulfillment of roles.
  • Collaborate with delivery and solutioning teams to shape Microsoft-specific value propositions and proposals.
  • Represent Microsoft internally, ensuring alignment and strategic investment across our functions.

Required Profile

  • 7–15 years of experience in IT services or technology consulting, in client partner, account management, or enterprise sales roles, including managing and growing a $7–10M+ account portfolio.
  • Direct experience managing Microsoft as a client (as a supplier or vendor) strongly preferred; experience in the Microsoft ecosystem (Microsoft partner, former Microsoft employee, or Microsoft-focused services firm) also valued.
  • Established network within Microsoft Mexico and the Mexican technology ecosystem preferred.
  • Proven track record growing a single strategic account or a small portfolio, including SOW/MSA expansion and cross-selling of services.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Cloud (Azure, Azure AI, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric), enough to engage credibly with technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Mexico’s specialized-services framework (REPSE and the 2021 subcontracting reform) and of vendor compliance requirements in large enterprises.
  • Full professional fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative sales skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and client success.
