The position is full-time and on site in Mexico.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 6+ years of experience in the operation and design of drilling and completion activities for exploratory and development wells.
• Knowledge of HP/HT wells, casing integrity testing, and torque and drag analysis.
• Experience in direct on-site supervision of critical operations, including casing and liner cementing, TCP/WCP perforating runs, DST testing, and well completion operations.
• Experience in the integrated preparation of technical proposals and AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) generation.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Under direct supervision, develops well proposals and Basis of Design.
• Produces Operation Plans and prepares Programs; ensures technical integrity of operations planning and execution.
• Manages day-to-day surveillance of operations and cost control of expenditures.
• Participates in risk assessment, forecasts, and planning for medium/long-term needs.
• Prepares End-of-Well reports and contributes to knowledge management.

Job Duties

Under direct supervision, the Well Engineer is responsible for well proposals and the Basis of Design. Provides Operation Plans and prepares Programs as well as assures technical integrity of Operations planning and execution. Responsible for the day-to-day surveillance of operations. Responsible for the creation of Approval for Expenditure (AFE) and performs cost control of operations. Participates in risk assessment, forecasts and plans medium and long term needs to meet program requirements, and anticipates operational changes and needs. Prepares equipment lists and identifies long lead items. Ensures proper communication within the project. Performs engineering studies to solve recurring problems. Prepares End-of-Well reports and contributes to knowledge management.
