Job summary

AVL México offers a role focused on engine calibration activities on an engine test bed. You will solve ECU issues during test bed testing and adapt calibration data to ensure smooth engine operation.

The role also involves driving improvements to reduce ECU-related problems and improve KPIs for engine performance. The ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical engineering background, knowledge of CAN and automotive electronics, and strong data analysis and teamwork skills, with good English

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• Genuine interest in internal combustion engines.
• Knowledge of automotive electronics.
• Familiarity with automotive communication systems (CAN, etc.).
• Ability to analyze data and report testing results.
• Strong coordination and team skills.
• Good English; German language desirable.

Joining the AVL team in México, you will be responsible to carry out engine calibration activities in engine test bed.

• To solve any ECU related issues during engine test bed testing of internal combustion engines.
• To adapt calibration data to allow smooth operation during engine test bed testing.
• To steer development and implementation of improvement measures to avoid ECU related issues and more generally to improve KPIs for engine operation at engine test bed.

Profile Description

• Degree in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or comparable studies
• Genuine interest in internal combustion engines
• Knowledge in automotive electronics
• Knowledge of automotive communication systems (CAN, etc…)
• Ability to investigate root cause of issues, analyze data and formally present and report testing results.
• High level of coordination, communication and team skills
• Good knowledge of English
• German desirable, but not compulsory
