Midea Latam North is seeking a Warehousing Specialist to oversee and optimize warehouse operations in Mexico City. You will manage inventory accuracy, coordinate shipments, and support continuous process improvements in a global, fast-growing organization.

The role requires 1+ year in warehousing or logistics, familiarity with WMS and MS Office, and a degree in International Business or Industrial Engineering. This is a part-time, on-site position in Azcapotzalco.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 1+ year of warehousing, inventory control, or logistics experience.
  • Basic English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

  • Inventory Management: monitor and maintain inventory accuracy daily; conduct audits and cycle counts.
  • Warehouse Operations: plan warehouse layout and workflow for space and efficiency.
  • Shipping and Receiving: coordinate incoming/outgoing shipments and orders.
  • Safety and Compliance: ensure health and safety regulations; train staff on safety protocols.
  • ERP/Technology: manage ERP system activities (entries and location changes).

A Warehousing Specialist at MIDEA is responsible for overseeing and optimizing warehouse operations, ensuring accurate and efficient storage, handling, and distribution of goods. This role involves inventory management, process improvement, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

What you will do?
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy on a daily basis through regular audits and cycle counts. Ensure proper storage and labeling of products to facilitate efficient retrieval and distribution. Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to manage stock levels and minimize shortages or excess inventory.
  • Warehouse Operations: Planning and organizing warehouse layout and workflow to optimize space utilization and operational efficiency. Implement and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness, and manage material transfersbetween different warehouses.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders and deliveries.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the warehouse environment, conducting routine inspections to maintain operational safety and equipment functionality. Also train warehouse staff on best practices and safety protocols.
  • Technology Utilization: Manage ERP system activities (material entries and location changes).
  • Customer Service: Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders and address any warehouse-related customer inquiries or issues.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory movements, and warehouse activities. Prepare reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and warehouse performance metrics.
  • Among other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
  • 1+ years of experience in warehousing, inventory control, or logistics.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Basic English.

  • Inventory Management: Understanding inventory control methods, including First In, First Out and Just-In-Time, to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
  • Warehouse Operations: Knowledge of warehouse layout optimization, space utilization techniques, and workflow management to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain: Familiarity with logistics processes, transportation modes, and supply chain principles to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments effectively.
  • Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Awareness of warehouse safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Warehouse Management Systems: Proficiency in using software to track inventory, manage orders, and streamline warehouse operations.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Ability to analyze data, identify issues or inefficiencies in warehouse operations, and implement effective solutions.
  • Customer Focus: Understanding the importance of meeting customer requirements and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal departments (such as procurement, sales, and customer service) and external stakeholders (suppliers, logistics providers) to achieve operational goals.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and ensure that deadlines and goals are met efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving Aptitude: A proactive approach to identifying challenges within warehouse operations and implementing effective solutions. This involves critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to think on your feet.
