Job summary

EDAG Mexico is seeking a CAE Engineer to lead crashworthiness simulations and develop robust CAE models for automotive projects in Puebla. You will analyze results, propose optimization solutions, and present findings to both internal teams and customers, collaborating closely with Design, Testing and Product Development functions.

Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in automotive/mechanical/aerospace engineering with 1+ year in CAE. Fluent English is required; German A2 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering related to automotive structures.
• At least 1 year of CAE and structural/crash simulation experience.
• Experience with FEM tools and automotive crash analysis encouraged.
• Strong problem-solving and result interpretation能力.

DESCRIPTION

• Lead and execute full vehicle crashworthiness and safety simulation projects.
• Develop CAE models, perform crash simulations, and propose optimization solutions based on analysis results.
• Analyze, document, and present simulation findings to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams including Design, Testing, and Product Development.
• Support the development of innovative vehicle safety concepts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Gain exposure to global automotive projects and advanced CAE methodologies.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• +1 year of experience in CAE and structural/crash simulations within the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of FEM methodologies and experience with tools such as ANSA, LS-DYNA, PAM-CRASH, Abaqus, Nastran, OpenFOAM, and Animator.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret simulation results and recommend engineering improvements.
• Self-driven, organized, and proactive work style with a high sense of responsibility and commitment.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams.
• Fluent English.
• German A2 (desirable).
• 1 year contract
