Job summary

ZF Monterrey R&D Center is seeking a Simulation Engineer to join the Hardware Simulation team in Monterrey. You will perform linear and nonlinear FEA analysis for durability and contribute design recommendations, collaborating with global teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Automotive Engineering, has strong communication skills, and can interact with customers and engineering teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Physics, Automotive Engineering or a comparable field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers and engineering teams at all levels.
• Structured, analytical and self-driven working style.

Responsibilities

• Perform linear and nonlinear FEA structural analysis for durability and provide recommendations for design changes.
• Possess knowledge of CAD systems, such as CATIA or UG.
• Prefer to possess knowledge in Design Of Experiments and other engineering tools.
• Customer contact/support
• Experience with any two of the following codes: Ansys and Fatigue, ABAQUS, and Hypermesh
• Maintain “state of the art awareness” on CAE tools/methodology.

The Chassis Solutions Division of ZF North America offers application specific solutions for a variety of different automotive Steering, Braking, Suspension and Chassis Components. Continued growth in our Monterrey office has created an opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team!
