Placements24 is seeking an Ingeniero de Diseño Mecánico y CAE to lead mechanical design and CAE analyses for industrial equipment in Naucalpan. You will develop components and assemblies, perform FEA/CFD simulations, translate results into design improvements, and prepare detailed drawings and BOMs for manufacturing.

Ideal candidates hold a ME degree with 5+ years in design/CAE, proficient in SolidWorks/CATIA/Inventor and ANSYS/Abaqus/COMSOL, and communicate effectively in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design and CAE/FEA experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor) and CAE tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL).
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, material properties and failure modes.
• Experience in product development and DFM; strong analytical and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Spanish and good English for technical communication.

About the Role

Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialized industrial equipment, is actively seeking an experienced Ingeniero de Diseño Mecánico y CAE to join their innovative engineering department in Naucalpan, State of Mexico . This position requires a blend of creative design skills and strong analytical capabilities to develop and optimize mechanical components and systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using CAD software for design and CAE tools for simulation and analysis, ensuring the performance, durability, and manufacturability of their products. Key Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for new and existing products using advanced CAD software. Perform Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) analyses, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for stress, thermal, and vibration, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) as needed. Validate simulation results and translate them into design improvements to enhance product performance and reliability. Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D teams to ensure design feasibility and DFM (Design for Manufacturability). Participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise and insights. Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during product development and in production. Stay current with the latest advancements in design tools, simulation technologies, and materials science. Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and CAE/FEA analysis. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor) and CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL). Strong understanding of mechanical principles, material properties, and failure modes. Experience in product development and DFM principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team. Proficiency in Spanish and a good command of English for technical communication and documentation. Experience in the industrial equipment manufacturing sector is a significant advantage.
