Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Jr- Virtual Analysis Engineer to lead CAE/virtual analysis activities for steering and suspension development, optimizing ride and handling across variants. The role emphasizes model development, simulations, and near-term design recommendations to minimize sensitivity to road and assembly variations.

Candidates will work with ADAMS/Car, CARSIM, VI-Car realtime, and other tools, applying DFMEA and NX/Teamcenter to support engineering objectives on site in CDMX.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Experience with suspension/steering/brake system kinematics/compliance/vibration studies and ride/handling assessments.
• Familiarity with simulation tools: ADAMS/Car, Altair Hyperworks, NASTRAN, CARSIM, VI-Car realtime, Matlab.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and optimize suspension/steering sub-systems' kinematics and compliance.
• Perform analytical assessments of handling behavior and component loads for events.
• Simulate ride events and characterize performance (low/high frequency).
• Develop/validate vehicle full-subsystem/vehicle models (multi-body dynamics, FE/parametric).
• Create remote models and provide on-site support for driving simulator studies.

The Virtual Analysis Engineer in Vehicle Dynamics is responsible, throughout all program development phases, for the leadership of all CAE/virtual analysis activities associated with steering/suspension hardpoint development and components, stiffness/damping/tire specifications and ride/handling performance optimization for all variants of a vehicle architecture, including formulation of design recommendations to meet functional objectives of Stellantis’ vehicles. The overall objective is to minimize vehicle/suspension sensitivity to variation in forces induced by road surfaces, assembly build variation, vehicular architecture and/or wear.

YOUR ROLE

• Analysis and optimization of suspension/steering sub-systems' kinematics and compliance.
• Analytical assessments of steady/transient states’ handling behavior; calculation associated with component loads for various handling events (Fish-hook, Trailer Tow, Slow Ramp Steer, Step Steer, Off-Road events for Trail Rating).
• Simulation of ride events and associated characterization of performance (low and high frequency events, impact harshness, vehicle pitch under braking, head-toss, shimmy, wander and brake judder).
• Development/validation/ownership of all associated full vehicle/sub-system simulation models (multi-body dynamics: ADAMS/Car, parametric: CARSIM, VI-Car Realtime, flex-body: NASTRAN).
• Develop models (remotely) and provide on-site support for driving simulator studies.
• Formulate/execute plans for analytical support of physical mule tuning activities.
• Develop new CAE/simulation processes as needed.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Experience with processes and simulation techniques associated with suspension/steering/brake system’s kinematics/compliance/vibration studies, vehicle ride/handling assessments, component structural analysis.
• Experience with associated simulation tools: ADAMS/Car, Altair Hyperworks, NASTRAN, CARSIM, VI-Car realtime, Matlab.
• Ability to develop custom routines (Visual Basic, ADAMS command files, ADAMS/Car templates, Matlab) to support process enhancement is preferred.
• Familiarity with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
• Ability to extract component detail from NX, Teamcenter and CoDeP.
• Self-starter with demonstrated problem solving skills.
