Hussmann Technologies de Baja California is seeking a Buyer I to join our Supply Chain team in Tijuana, B.C. The role focuses on managing purchase orders, supplier coordination, and material availability to sustain production schedules.

The candidate should have 1–3 years in purchasing, familiarity with MRP, and ERP systems. Strong negotiation and Excel skills are required to support cost reductions and continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or similar roles.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage purchase orders for assigned materials, components, and suppliers.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and material availability.
• Monitor material requirements based on production schedules and MRP.
• Expedite critical materials to prevent shortages and production disruptions.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, availability, and delivery dates.
• Support negotiations related to pricing and commercial terms.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
• Maintain accurate purchasing information in the ERP system.
• Work closely with Planning, Production, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Finance.
• Support the resolution of invoice, purchase order, and material discrepancies.
• Participate in cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support inventory optimization and supply continuity.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or similar roles.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and purchasing processes.
• Experience working with suppliers and purchase orders.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems is a plus.
