Axiom is seeking a Buyer Direct to join our Guadalajara North Campus. The role focuses on sourcing, evaluating bids, and managing supplier performance to secure cost-effective materials and services for our electronics manufacturing operations.

You will engage with vendors, support contract negotiations, and oversee procurement activities within defined budgets, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Previous experience in the electronics manufacturing industry (EMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability & lead time.
• Manages supplier to price, delivery method and quality expectations and escalates when appropriate.
• Monitor and strategize materials through the product life cycle, considering price, MOQ, etc.
• Interfaces with suppliers and customers to secure delivery and best market price.
• Prepares and/or reviews bid requests and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Buyer Direct located in Guadalajara North Campus. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager Direct, the Buyer Direct is responsible for identifies varied sources of commodities and services, evaluates bids, awards contracts and purchase orders, develops standards for new products or services, maintains contact with vendors, and maintains comprehensive descriptions of available products and current prices.

What a typical day looks like:

• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability & lead time.
• Manages supplier to price, delivery method and quality expectations and escalates when appropriate.
• Monitor and make strategies of materials through the product life cycle, considering price, MOQ, etc.
• Interfaces with suppliers and customers to secure both delivery and the best market price.
• Prepares and/or reviews bid requests and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Previous experience in the electronics manufacturing industry (EMS) preferred.
• Experience in Purchasing / Procurement activities.
• Experience managing maritime commodities or marine-related items.
• Knowledge of MRP systems (Material Requirements Planning).
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
